Hi sweeties! I hope you're all having a good week! I came across this yummy free font, Intro, today when I was reading my news feed from Linkedin. Oh yay, more candy to add in my font directory! I'm a sucker for geometric simple fonts like this!
Helsinki street style - top 5
19 March 2012
Are you familiar with HEL-LOOKS? I'm such a fan! Their blog is dedicated to the streets of Helsinki and it's amazingly stylish people. The site was started in 2005 by Liisa Jokinen and Sampo Karjalainen and it's been a big hit ever since.
About a year ago I picked my fave looks with Helena, so I thought I'd do the same this year as well. Our city's streets aren't any less stylish than last year and I had real difficulties picking my faves. We are definitely no longer the tracksuit nation that we've sometimes been called - Finns are STYLISH, UNIQUE AND PURE AWESOME! Check it out for yourself!
It's never too late...

...to dream big! This winter has been such a roller coaster but it seems that some things are slowly falling into place. At least in my head. I lost my ability to dream for a while... which to me is almost like losing hope. But it seems it's coming back to me.
The best part about dreaming and dreaming BIG is that you get all this motivation. It almost feels like my motivation was stored somewhere for a couple of looooong weeks and now it's been released back into the universe. What a wonderful feeling!
Ps. The photos are an experiment with the Picfx galactic filter on my iPhone photos.

Vintage coral and brass necklace // Sparkle Farm
My peachy coral infatuation continues! Isn't this Sparkle Farm vintage coral and brass necklace pure loveliness!? It's like a one big fat bright smile! I think this pretty would look adorable with a white flowy silk blouse, some skinny denim jeans and cute flats. Oooh I'm picturing myself wearing it all already! May spring come!
Color crush - peachy and green
12 March 2012
Oooh I'm so in love with this Ekaterina Koroleva illustration! The colors really hit spot for me! I'm a complete sucker for peachy pinks, olives and sea-foam greens. These are, however, colors that I very rarely wear. I should though... but I'm slightly worried I'll look goofy in color. I have no issue playing with color when it comes to accessories, but wardrobe pretty much consists of blacks and stripes. Boring, I know. Maybe I'll surprise myself this spring and start being a bit more adventurous!
Ps. The fonts I've used in this post are called Wiegel Latein (script) and Yeseva One (display), and guess what - they're both free to download!
It's on the market.

Some of the official real estate photos of my flat // by Mikael Karlbom
Yep, it's official. My flat is on the market! I had the first viewing today, and it already generated some leads... so fingers crossed it'll sell fast and I'll be able to REALLY start looking for a new home. I'm having such mixed feelings about this whole thing - one part is sad and the other super excited to start somewhere new. I guess it's only normal! Right? I went to see a place yesterday, but it didn't have the right vibe. I'm sure I'll feel it immediately when the right one comes along. I tend to trust my gut feeling on this kind of stuff. I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed!
Ps. If I had en extra half a million lying around, I'd buy this gorgeous old townhouse just a stones throw away from where I now live. Sigh. Swoon. Sigh.

Quote by Leonardo Da Vinci. Artwork by me.
It's been a while since my last typography post and I thought it was about time I'd share some typography love in the form of this wise quote by Leonardo Da Vinci. It pretty much captures the core of my aesthetic. I love when things are simplistic - no extra bells and whistles to take away from the beauty of sophistication.
The fonts I've used in this quote art work are both freebies! The script font is called That's Font Folks and the serif font is Prata. I think they make such a lovely combo! Simple, girly and yes... sophisticated.

all pretties via nomoi koru
No moi! That means "well, hello!" in Finnish! And that's exactly what I thought when I came across nomoi koru on Etsy the other night. What a great find, I say! And such a lovely surprise to see that this jewelry designer comes from Finland! I'm loving the simplicity of the jewelry and the way each piece is making a subtle statement. I'm so smitten with nomoi koru, I couldn't leave them unnoticed... and I had to purchase this black drop ring too. I think it'll become my new favorite!
Ps. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!!!
Pretty things x 5
7 March 2012
Oooh! I'm absolutely smitten with all of these pretties! The spring is definitely in the air because I'm keeping hoarding pretty colorful items on my wish-list. The Tamé necklace is my absolute favorite of the bunch! I'm loving it's modern look with a retro twist. It would be within my budget too! Hmmm.... ;)

Some of my latest iPhone photos.
Hi sweeties! What have you been up to this weekend? I've just been enjoying the first rays of spring sun and spent a lot of time outdoors. Yesterday I even went sledding! It was such a good laugh! Now my bum hurts from rolling around the slopes, but it was SO worth it!
